چکیده | ||
Vivid approaches, methods and instructional practices have laid perpetual impact on the construction and development of different English as a Second Language (ESL) syllabuses. This paper aims to understand the value of varied syllabus types available in ESL pedagogy and discusses the use of flexible and eclectic approaches in attaining the general and specific objectives of learning. A comprehensive overview of different syllabus types and their impact on syllabus design is analyzed. This study essentially delves into revisiting each syllabus type that has significantly played a crucial role in the development of needs-based learning to attain target level communicative competence. Being the linguistic and nonlinguistic components like structures, situations, contexts, genres, tasks, skills, topic, theme and content have been the major factors in deciding the required type of syllabus, present study highlights the significant use of those learning mechanisms to be incorporated in depicting the appropriate syllabus to the students. | ||
