| چکیده | ||
| Aim: Understanding the molecular mechanisms involved in colon disease is crucial for the development of novel therapeutic interventions. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of high-intensity interval training combined with pomegranate juice supplementation on oxidative stress and caspase-3 in experimental mice with colon cancer. The statistical sample of the present study was 35 Balbi mice, 28 of which were divided into groups after ensuring the induction of colon cancer, (1) control-patient, (2) pomegranate juice supplement-patient, (3) exercise-patient, (4) pomegranate juice supplement + exercise-patient. Also, to investigate the effects of cancer induction on the research variables, 7 rats were considered as a healthy control group. The exercise group performed intense interval training for eight weeks. Pomegranate juice supplement was mixed with drinking water daily at a daily dose of 5% and fed to the mice. ROS levels were measured by ELISA and caspase-3 gene expression in colon tissue was measured by Real-time PCR. Oxidative stress in the exercise+supplement-patient group was significantly lower than in the control-patient group (P=0.02). Also, the level of oxidative stress in the control-patient group was significantly higher than in the healthy control group (P=0.003). In terms of the relative expression of caspase-3, the exercise+supplement-patient group was significantly higher than in the control-patient group (P=0.043). onclusion: The combined intervention of intense interval training with pomegranate juice consumption has a reducing effect on oxidative stress and increased caspase-3 levels in colon cancer compared to either exercise training or pomegranate juice supplementation | ||
