| چکیده | ||
| This study examines Sūrah al-Ḥamd, the opening chapter of the Qur’an, through the framework of Cognitive Grammar developed by Ronald Langacker. The analysis explores how grammatical and semantic structures in the Qur’an reflect conceptualizations of divinity, praise, mercy, sovereignty, guidance, and human dependence. Cognitive Grammar views meaning as the conceptualization of experience rather than a reflection of an objective world. Within this perspective, the study demonstrates how the linguistic constructions of Sūrah al-Hamd instantiate schematic and embodied cognitive patterns shaping believers’ understanding of divine–human relations. Particular attention is given to construal, profiling, and image schemas as expressed in key verses of praise, authority, judgment, and supplication for guidance. The findings show that the sūrah employs dynamic conceptual construals integrating spatial, temporal, and evaluative domains into a unified cognitive scene. Overall, the research contributes to Qur’anic linguistics and cognitive semantics by revealing universal conceptual principles linking embodiment, cognition, and spiritual meaning. | ||
