| چکیده | ||
| این مقاله با بهرهگیری از نظریههای کهنالگویی جوزف کمپبل و نورثروپ فرای در چارچوب ادبیات تطبیقی رنه ولک، تحلیلی تطبیقی از قهرمانان اسطورهای رستم از شاهنامۀ فارسی و هرکول از سنّت یونانی-رومی ارائه میدهد. این مطالعه، استدلال میکند که علیرغم ریشههای فرهنگی متمایزشان، هر دو شخصیت، یک کهنالگوی قهرمانی جهانی را تجسّم میبخشند و الگوهای اسطورهای بنیادی و بین فرهنگی را آشکار میکنند. این تحقیق با بهرهگیری از «تکاسطوره» کمپبل، ساختارهای روایی موازی زندگی آنها را، از تولدهای معجزهآسا و آزمایشهای اولیه تا تکمیل زحمات قهرمانانه و عروج نهایی، ردیابی میکند. نظریۀ اسطورهای فرای، حماسههای آنها را در قالب رمانس طبقهبندی میکند که با کاوشهای متعالی و مبارزات چرخهای علیه هرج و مرج مشخص میشود. این مقایسه که با تأکید ولک بر پیوندهای ادبی ذاتی فراتر از تأثیر تاریخی شکل گرفته است، نه تنها شباهتهای عمیقی را در عملکرد آنها به عنوان قهرمانان فرهنگی آشکار میکند، بلکه تفاوتهای اساسی را نیز برجسته میسازد: روایت هرکول بر کفّارۀ شخصی و نقص تراژیک متمرکز است، در حالی که حماسۀ رستم عمیقاً با هویت ملی و وظیفۀ فرزندی در هم تنیده شده است. در نهایت، این مطالعه نتیجه میگیرد که رستم و هرکول، نمونههای قدرتمندی از قهرمان کهنالگویی هستند که جوهرۀ روایی مشترک آنها، قدرت وحدتبخش اسطوره را در فرهنگهای بشری تأیید میکند. | ||
